Motor Vehicle Accident, Car vs. Tree with entrapment, I-395 NB south of Exit 1 - 11/01/05
The Webster Rescue Squad responded along with Webster Fire, Webster EMS, Webster Police, and the Mass State Police to a report of a Motor Vehicle into the woods off I-395 NB between the Connecticut Line and Exit 1. Upon arrival, it was found that the accident was on the left side of the highway in the median with one person entrapped in the heavily damaged vehicle. Due to the position the car was in and the damage sustained, extrication proved a bit tricky with the dash board collapsed into the front seats, pinning the occupant. Following a somewhat extensive extrication, the operator of the vehicle was flown by Hartford Lifestar to a Worcester Hospital with serious injuries.
